Our Story
Ron Inkenbrandt was born in Evansville, Indiana, into a musical family, the fifth of eight children, Ron acquired a love for music while listening to his grandfather and uncles play their instruments in the living room of his grandparent's home. These gifted musicians would help set the course for Ron's life.
Fresh out of high school, Ron and his oldest brother traveled up and down the east and west coasts of the US and Canada as a duo performing in different venues. The brothers were noticed by Ray Charles who invited them to California to do some recording in the celebrity's studio. This experience opened the way for not only writing songs but recording them as well.
- The duo opened for Martin Mull at the Sunrise Musical Theatre in Fort Lauderdale in the mid-1970s
- The duo also played in several different venues with Melanie Safka
During the early 1980s, Signature Galleries produced and released an album by the Inkenbrandt Band called Passenger with Ron as lead singer and songwriter.
- The title song of the Passenger album was written by Christopher Cross, and received airplay and charted in Billboard Magazine. The album was produced and directed by Peter Schekeryk, Melanie's husband. It was recorded at Longview farms in North Brookfield MA, and in Criteria studios in Miami
- The Inkenbrandt Band showcased at the Bitter End in New York City in 1982
- The Inkenbrandt Band opened for the Atlanta Rhythm Section in the early 1980s
In 1985, after a radical conversion experience to faith in Jesus Christ, Ron's life goal remained to do music but it became centered around his newfound passion for God.
- Ron opened for the Imperials on two occasions in Fort Myers, Florida, in the late 1980s
- He recorded the Turn Around album in 1989. Five songs from this album were debuted on Way-FM Christian radio. The songs, "Jesus is Real" and "Holy Lamb of God", had extended airplay not only on Way-FM but also on major radio stations throughout the US.
- Other albums that Ron recorded are River of Peace and Faithful and his latest, Jesus Higher.
Ron and his wife, Patricia, their son Joshua, and daughter Aubrey Inkenbrandt Breedlove, moved to Branson, Missouri, where they hosted a breakfast show at the Settle Inn and Honeysuckle Inn. Also Ron and Patricia led worship for a bible study at the the home of Barbara Fairchild. As the ministry grew, Barbara set a pastor in place and eventually it became the "Grand Ole Gospel Hour", a church-plant in a local Branson theatre. As a worship leader Ron has helped establish many other churches as well.
After traveling with an evangelist leading worship in the US, the Philippines, Russia and India, Ron spent ten years as the pastor and worship leader for Glorious Praise Worship Center in Millersville, Missouri. Ron and Patricia are now predominantly focusing on writing and recording songs, and traveling with their music ministry.
